Due to the amount of unattended production on our machines throughout the night, our Automatic Fire suppression systems on every CNC machine has been replaced with Firetrace Systems.

Our Automatic Fire Suppression System works simply as a heat detection device – a tubing lining the area of risk within the machine, pressurised with nitrogen. There are minimal moving parts and no requirement for separate power supplies or battery backups providing a reliable system which is also able to withstand the harsh oily environments within a CNC machine. If a high temperature or fire happens, the pressurised tubing bursts, activating the cylinder valve and deploying the extinguishant immediately. This happens so quickly, there is little to no damage to the machine, in turn resulting in minimal downtime to production.

To compliment this, Fire alarms, Smoke & Heat detectors have been fitted around the factory. In the event of an alarm the Fire brigade will be called out automatically. This along with the Firetrace systems gives us peace of mind throughout the un-manned shifts through the night & at weekends .
